Dublin GAA star Cian Murphy has accepted an invitation to be the Grand Marshal of the Tallaght St Patricks Day Parade.

The Tallaght native and Thomas Davis’s senior player expressed his delight, stating “I am honoured to have been asked to fulfil the role of Parade Grand Marshall for the Tallaght St. Patrick’s Day Parade. I grew up watching the parade and I have great memories of the day. I am really looking forward to taking part.

Mayor, Cllr Baby Pereppadan further added “Cian is an upstanding member of the community. He is a role model to many citizens in the county and he has represented Tallaght with distinction with the Dublin GAA team. We are delighted he has accepted the invitation to fulfil the role of Grand Marshal at the upcoming Tallaght St. Patricks Day Parade”
