Temporary Closing of Roads

Notice of Intention

 Roads Act 1993

 

South Dublin County Council hereby gives notice, in accordance with Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993, that it proposes to close the road described as follows:

 

Road to be Closed:           The N7 Westbound Carriageway at Junction 4 to its junction with the L2004 at Rathcoole (at ‘An Poitín Stil’), Co. Dublin

 

Date of Closure:     For a period of five nights during the period Wednesday 14th of August 2024 to Sunday 15th of September 2024.

                                      

Hours of Closure:  2200hrs to 0600hrs

 

This closure is required to facilitate the installation of Tay Lane pedestrian footbridge on the N7 at Rathcoole, Co. Dublin.

                                                                                                                                                                                                

Diversion Route:                    

                                At N7 Junction 4, Rathcoole, westbound traffic diverts from N7 left onto the off-slip. At the roundabout continue south west onto the R120 for approx. 470m to the roundabout and its intersection with the L2004, Main Street, Rathcoole. Continue westbound on Main Street, Rathcoole for approx. 1km until arrival at ‘Diversion End’ and merge with the N7 westbound.
