N81 Landscape Improvements Phase 1B

In accordance with the Part 8 for the N81 landscape Improvement Scheme; the next phase of landscape improvements on the N81 is due to commence In November and will be underway for the remainder of 2020 and into 2021. This will see works between the Avonbeg Road and the Old Bawn Road junctions. Trees and hedges will be removed along the median and replaced with new beech hedging and native oak trees, continuing the planting scheme from the previous phase of work. Improvements to street lighting will also continue, with efficient LED lights replacing the existing high energy street lamps. Trees and vegetation will be removed along the verge where there are conflicts with the new lighting and to make space for new oak planting.  South Dublin County Council apologises in advance for any disruptions or delays which may occur along this stretch of the N81 during this work.
