Re: Roads Act, 2004, Section 9
Re: Speed Limit – Peamount Road, Newcastle.
South Dublin County Council proposes to amend the existing speed limit of 60 km/h to 50 km/h in accordance with the procedures set out in Section 9 of the Road Traffic Act 2004, on a section of the Peamount Road as follows:-
Peamount Road from a point 188m East of public lighting pole No. 29 (opposite Peamount Hospital entrance) to a point 158m West of said pole.
The speed limit is being amended following numerous requests from Peamount Hospital and local and government representatives and in the interests of public safety.
A Draft Bye-Law showing the proposed speed limit amendment may be inspected at the Roads Department, South Dublin County Council, Civic Offices, Town Centre, Tallaght, Dublin 24 from 9.00 a.m. to 12.30p.m. Monday to Friday and 2.00 p.m. to 5.00p.m. Monday to Thursday and 2.00p.m. to 4.30p.m. Friday from 7th day of June 2006 to 6th day July 2006.
Objections or representations regarding this matter should be made in writing to the Senior Executive Officer, Roads & Traffic Department, South Dublin County Council, County Hall, Town Centre, Tallaght, Dublin 24. The latest date for receipt of objections of representations regarding the matter is 5.00 p.m. on 6th day of July 2006.
