South Dublin County Arts Service is delighted to announce the publication, ‘Working in Intercultural Contexts – GUIDE for Local Authorities and Cultural Providers’.

Since 2016, South Dublin, Mayo and Donegal County Councils have collaborated on research to develop models of best practice in relation to cultural diversity under the Arts Council of Ireland, Invitation to Collaboration scheme.

Daniel McLoughlin, Chief Executive of South Dublin County Council said,

'South Dublin County Council was delighted to partner with Mayo County Council and Donegal County Council on this project.  South Dublin County Council appreciates the role the Arts play in engaging with our culturally diverse communities, and building meaningful relationships that blend traditional identities with emerging expressions of culture’.

This guide is a resource for Local Authorities and cultural providers beginning a process in dialogue with our communities, to develop a range of  cultural services that engage more effectively with people from culturally diverse backgrounds.
