Public Notice of

Proposed Traffic Calming Measures in Tymon North Residential Cell.

 (Cell bounded by Castletymon Road, M50, Tallaght Roadand Greenhills Road)

Pursuant to the requirements of the above, notice is hereby given of the proposed provision by South Dublin County Council of the above scheme and a description of the proposed works follows:

MAP

The proposed works consist of the following:

1.      Castletymon Road

 The installation of a set of traffic lights at its junction with Tallaght Road

 

 

The provision of 13 bus cushions

The provision of centre line chevron marking      

The construction of lay by parking in vicinity of Castle Park

     

      Tymonville  

The provision of 14 standard traffic calming ramps

     

      Tymon North/St. Aongus

      The provision of 14 standard traffic calming ramps

     

      Castlepark

      The provision of 5 standard traffic calming ramps

         

 

Castle Lawns/Balrother

The provision of 8 standard traffic calming ramps

           Bancroft

           The provision of 11 standard traffic calming ramps

          

          Glenview Park 

          The provision of 3 standard traffic calming ramps

         

           Access Road to Brookmount  

           The provision of 3 standard traffic calming ramps and

 

 

 

2.     Associated Road Signage           

 

 

 

 Plans and particulars of the proposed development will be available for inspection at:

 

 

 

(a)      South Dublin County Council Offices, County Hall, Tallaght, Dublin 24.

          from 9.00am– 5.00pm Monday to Thursday and from 9.00am -4.30pm each Friday.

 

 

 

(b)       County Library , County Hall, Tallaght, Dublin 24.      

            From  9.45am- 8.00pm Monday to Thursday and from 9.45am – 4.30pm Friday and  Saturday.

From Thursday 15th September  2005 to Thursday 13th October 2005.

 

 

Written submissions or observations with respect to the proposed development dealing with the proper planning and sustainable development of the area in which the development would be situated may be made in writing before 4.30pm on Friday 28th October 2005 to The Senior Executive Officer, Roads and Traffic Department, South Dublin County Council, County Hall, Town Centre, Tallaght, Dublin 24.
