Public Notice of
Proposed Traffic Calming Measures in Brookfield/Fettercairn
Comprising of
Ardmore/Brookview/Brookfield Road/Fortunestown Crescent & Close/Glenshane/Rossfield/Swiftbrook/ Belgard Green/Drumcairn/Fettercairn Road/Kilcarrig/Kilmartin
Pursuant to the requirements of the above, notice is hereby given of the proposed provision by South Dublin County Council of the above scheme and a description of the proposed works follows:
The proposed works will consist of the following:
Ardmore/Brookview/Brookfield Road/Fortunestown Crescent & Close/Glenshane/Rossfield/Swiftbrook
- The creation of four cul de sacs at the following junctions:
i) Brookview Grove/Brookview Drive
ii) Brookview Drive/Brookview Avenue
iii) Rossfield Gardens/Rossfield Park and
Rossfield Park in the vicinity of No 28. Rossfield Park
- The construction of two roundabouts on Brookfield Road at its junction with
i) Rossfield Avenue
ii) Brookview Gardens
- The construction of a high boundary kerb on the open space between Cheeverstown Road and Rossfield Park
- Extend railing on Brookview Gardens to its junction with Brookfield Road
- The provision of thirty-one (31) standard traffic calming ramps
- The provision of chevron lining on Brookfield Road(northern end) and
- Associated Road Signage
Belgard Green/Drumcairn/Fettercairn Road/Kilcarrig/Kilmartin
- The creation of a cul de sac on Kilmartin Park at its junction with Kilmartin Drive
- The provision of five (5) table top ramps on Fettercairn Road
- The provision of five (5) bus cushions ramps on Fettercairn Road
- The provision of eighteen (18) standard traffic calming ramps and
- Associated Road Signage
Plans and particulars of the proposed development will be available for inspection at :
(a) South Dublin County Council Offices, County Hall, Tallaght, Dublin 24.
from 9.00am– 12.45pm and 2.00pm–5.00pm Monday to Thursday and from 9.00am-12.45pm and 2.00pm-4.30pm each Friday.
(b) County Library, County Hall, Tallaght, Dublin 24.
From 9.45am- 8.00pm Monday to Thursday and from 9.45am – 4.30pm Friday and Saturday.
From Thursday 27th May 2004 – Friday 25th June 2004

Written submissions or observations with respect to the proposed development dealing with the proper planning and sustainable development of the area in which the development would be situated may be made in writing before 4.30pm on Friday 9th July 2004 to The Senior Executive Officer,Roads and Traffic Department, South Dublin County Council, County Hall, Town Centre Tallaght, Dublin 24.
