Public Notice of
Proposed Traffic Calming Measures in Palmerstown Residential Cell, Dublin 20.
(Cell bounded by N4, Kennelsfort Road Upper and Wheatfield Road)
Pursuant to the requirements of the above, notice is hereby given of the proposed provision by South Dublin County Council of the above scheme and a description of the proposed works follows:
The proposed works will consist of the following:
- The provision of (35) thirty-five standard traffic calming ramps
- The construction of 1 pinch pint on Wheatfield Road
- 3 Ton Limit (through traffic) on 3 access roads
- The construction of a mini roundabout at the junction of Woodfarm Avenue and Glenmaroon Road
- The provision of bollards in a number of rear laneways
- Widening of left turn access to N4 from the Oval
- The provision of Stop Sign and Line on Manor Park at its junction with Woodfarm Avenue and on Culmore Road at its junction with Woodfarm Avenue
- The painting of speed limit signs (roundels) onto the road surface and
- Associated Road Signage
Plans and particulars of the proposed development will be available for inspection at:
(a) South Dublin County Council Offices, County Hall, Tallaght, Dublin 24
from 9.00am– 12.45pm and 2.00pm–5.00pm Monday to Thursday and from 9.00am-12.45pm and 2.00pm-4.30pm each Friday.
(b) South Dublin County Council Civic Offices, Ninth Lock Road, Clondalkin, Dublin 22 From 10.00am– 12.45pm and 2.00pm–4.00pm Monday to Friday.
(c) Lucan Library, Superquinn Shopping Centre, Newcastle Road, Lucan, Co
Dublin from: 9.00am – 8.00pm Monday – Thursday and from 9.45am – 4.30pm
Friday and Saturday
(d) Palmerstown Community Council Office, Woodfarm Cottage, Kennelsfort Road, Palmerstown, Dublin 20 from 7pm – 9pm Monday to Friday
From Thursday 25th March 2004 – Friday 30th April 2004
Written submissions or observations with respect to the proposed development dealing with the proper planning and sustainable development of the area in which the development would be situated may be made in writing before 4.30pm on Friday 14th May 2004 to The Senior Executive Officer,Roads and Traffic Department, South Dublin County Council, County Hall, Town Centre Tallaght, Dublin 24.
