Re: Temporary Closure of East Bound Ramps at Rathcoole Interchange

South Dublin County Council has made an order to temporarily close the east bound ramps at Rathcoole interchange from Saturday 17th September to Saturday 15th October 2005, both dates inclusive in order to enable the reconfiguration of the on/off ramps as part of the current N7 Widening and Interchange Scheme.

The alternative route is via

Lucan-Rathcoole Road
(
Tay Lane
) and College Lane (R120) both directions and newly constructed lanes on
N7 Naas Road east
bound.

Length of detour is approximately 2.5km.

The three lane configuration of the N7 will operate in the east bound carriageway from Tay Lane and tie into existing three lane operation of the east end of the site.

Existing capacity on the N7 will be maintained and Dublin bound traffic will not be altered or have additional merging traffic.

Diversion signs will be erected. Local access will be maintained at all times.

It should be noted that the Freedom of Information Act applies to all records held by South Dublin County Council.
