Public Notice of

 

Proposed Traffic Calming Measures in Springfield Residential Cell, Tallaght.  

Comprising of

Alderwood, Ambervale, Ashgrove, Birchwood, Cairnwood, Fernwood, Lanndale, Maplewood, Raheen, Virginia Heights, Whitebrook

 

Pursuant to the requirements of the above, notice is hereby given of the proposed provision by South Dublin County Council of the above scheme and a description of the proposed works follows:

 

The proposed works consist of the following:

  1. The provision of 3 No. two way chicanes on Maplewood Road
  2. The provision of a pedestrian crossing in the vicinity of the shopping centre on Maplewood Road
  3. The provision of a mini roundabout at the junction of Maplewood Road and Birchwood Heights
  4. The provision of three entrance junction ramps
  5. The provision of (25) twenty-five standard traffic calming ramps throughout the cell
  6. Removal of flower bed in cul-de-sac between No’s 3 and 5 Raheen Road and replacement with bollards
  7. The provision of a pedestrian refuge/island in the vicinity of St Marks School on Maplewood Road
  8. The installation of a Stop Sign and Line on a) Fernwood Way at its junction with Maplewood Road and b) Alderwood Park at its junction with Old Blessington Road and
  9. Associated Road Signage

 

  Plans and particulars of the proposed development will be available for inspection at:

(a)               South Dublin County Council Offices, County Hall, Tallaght, Dublin 24.

from 9.00am– 12.45pm and 2.00pm–5.00pm Monday to Thursday and from 9.00am-12.45pm and 2.00pm-4.30pm each Friday.

 

(b)               County Library, County Hall, Tallaght, Dublin 24.

From  9.45am- 8.00pm Monday to Thursday and from 9.45am – 4.30pm Friday and Saturday.

 

From Thursday 10th June 2004 – Thursday 8th July 2004

Written submissions or observations with respect to the proposed development dealing with the proper planning and sustainable development of the area in which the development would be situated may be made in writing before 4.30pm on Friday 23rd July 2004 to The Senior Executive Officer,Roads and Traffic Department, South Dublin County Council, County Hall, Town Centre Tallaght, Dublin 24.
