Naas Road Quality
Bus Corridor
(Kingswood to Robinhood Road)

Pursuant to the requirements of the above, notice is hereby given of the intention of South Dublin County
Council to implement a Quality Bus Corridor as described below:

1. The provision of approximately 2.65 km of inbound and 2.38 km of outbound Bus Lane by the conversion
of hard shoulders and traffic lanes.
2. The provision of approximately 2.45 km of inbound and 2.68 km of outbound off-road cycle tracks and
on-road cycles lanes.
3. The upgrading of Old Naas Road, between Newland’s Cross and Monastery Link Road, and its division into
3 individual one-way sections, with Bus-Only links between each section. Each section will have its own
access and egress point and all other existing access and egress pints will be closed. The egress point at
Monastery Link Road will be signalised.
4. Modification of existing junctions.
5. Construction of new footpaths.
6. Modification and provision of public lighting, signing, drainage and associated features.
7. Relocation of services where necessary.

Plans and particulars of the proposed works are on display at the following locations and times:

a) South Dublin County Council Offices, County Hall, Tallaght, Dublin 24 between the hours of 9:00 am
–12.30 pm and 2.00 pm-5.00pm Monday to Thursday and 9.00am-12.30pm and 2.00pm-4.30pm on Friday,
b) Civic Offices, Ninth Lock Road, Clondalkin, Dublin 22 between the hours of 10.00am-12.45pm and 2.00pm-
4.00pm Monday to Friday
c) Clondalkin Library, Monastery Road, Clondalkin, Dublin 22 between the hours of 9.45am-8.00pm
Monday to Thursday and 9.45am-4.30pm Friday and Saturday from Thursday 25th March 2004 to Friday 30th April
2004.
