Bus Priority Measures
Pursuant to the requirements of the above, notice is hereby given of the intention of South Dublin County Council to implement Bus Priority Measures at Newcastle Road, Lucan, Co. Dublin as described below:
1. Widening of Newcastle Road on both sides between Esker Drive and Tandy’s Lane to provide northbound and southbound shared bus and cycle lanes and a new bus terminus.
2. Construction of a new signalised junction at Esker Drive to replace existing roundabout with associated footpaths, build-outs and widening.
3. The provision of approximately 150m of northbound shared bus and cycle lane from Esker Drive past the Hillcrest Road junction and modification of the Hillcrest Road junction.
4. Modification and provision of public lighting, signing, drainage and associated features.
5. Relocation of services where necessary.
Plans and particulars of the proposed works are on display at the following locations and times:
a) South Dublin County Council Offices, County Hall, Tallaght, Dublin 24 between the hours of 9:00 am –12.30 pm and 2.00 pm-5.00pm Monday to Thursday and 9.00am-12.30pm and 2.00pm-4.30pm on Friday,
b) Civic Offices, Ninth Lock Road, Clondalkin, Dublin 22 between the hours of 10.00am-12.45pm and 2.00pm - 4.00pm Monday to Friday
c) Lucan Library, Lucan Shopping Centre, Newcastle Road, Co. Dublin

between the hours of 9.45am-8.00pm Monday to Thursday and 9.45am-4.30pm Friday and Saturday from Thursday 25th March 2004 to Friday 30th April 2004.
Submissions or observations with respect to this matter dealing with the proper planning and development of the area in which the proposed works would be undertaken may be made in writing before 4.30 p.m. on Friday 14th May 2004 to the:
