Public Notice of

 

Proposed Traffic Calming Measures in the Residential Cell

Comprising of            

 Arthur Griffith Park/Cannonbrook/Esker Drive/St. Finian’s

 

Pursuant to the requirements of the above, notice is hereby given of the proposed provision by South Dublin County Council of the above scheme and a description of the proposed works follows:

 

The proposed works consist of the following:

  1. The installation of a signalised junction with pedestrian facility at the junction of Esker Drive and Esker Road
  2. The provision of a roundabout at the junction of Esker Road and St Finian’s Avenue
  3. Widening of the bend in Arthur Griffith Park in the vicinity of House No’s. 129/277
  4. The construction of a traffic island on St Finian’s Crescent
  5. The provision of standard traffic calming ramps in the following areas:

            Arthur Griffith Park- 8 ramps

            Cannonbrook- 7 ramps

            Esker Drive- 5 ramps

                  St. Finian’s- 5 ramps and

 

  1. Associated Road Signage

 

 Plans and particulars of the proposed development will be available for inspection at:

 

(a)      South Dublin County Council Offices, County Hall, Tallaght, Dublin 24.

          from 9.00am– 5.00pm Monday to Thursday and from 9.00am -4.30pm each Friday.

 

(b)     South Dublin County Council Civic Offices, Ninth Lock Road, Clondalkin, Dublin

          22.  From 10.00am– 12.45pm and 2.00pm–4.00pm Monday to Friday

 

(c)      Lucan Library, Superquinn Shopping Centre, Newcastle Road, Lucan.

          From  9.45am- 8.00pm Monday to Thursday and from 9.45am – 4.30pm Friday and  

          Saturday.

            From Thursday 3rd March 2005 to Friday 8th April 2005.

Written submissions or observations with respect to the proposed development dealing with the proper planning and sustainable development of the area in which the development would be situated may be made in writing before 4.30pm on Friday 22nd April 2005 to The Senior Executive Officer, Roads and Traffic Department, South Dublin County Council, County Hall, Town Centre, Tallaght, Dublin 24.
