NOTICE OF INTENTION TO ACQUIRE
DERELICT SITE COMPULSORILY
UNDER DERELICT SITES ACT, 1990
(as amended by the Planning and
Development Act 2000)
Notice is hereby given that South Dublin County Council (hereinafter referred to as the “local authorityâ€) in exercise of the powers conferred on them by Section 14 of the Derelict Sites Act, 1990 intends to acquire compulsorily under the said Act
the derelict site described hereunder.
A map of the said derelict site has been deposited in the offices of the Council at County Hall, Town Centre, Tallaght, Dublin 24 and Civic Offices, Clondalkin, Dublin 22 and may be inspected between the hours of 10.00 a.m. and 12.30 p.m.
and from 2.30 p.m. to 4.00 p.m. (Monday to Friday). A copy of the Order and Map is also available here:View Map
Any owner, lessee or occupier (except a tenant for a month or a period less than a month) may, on or before the 2nd June, 2004 submit to South Dublin County Council an objection to the proposed compulsory acquisition of the derelict site. Any
such objection must be in writing stating the grounds of the objection and addressed to Senior Executive Officer, South Dublin County Council, Economic Development Department, County Hall, Town Centre, Tallaght, Dublin 24. The Derelict Sites Act, 1990 (as amended by the Planning and Development Act 2000) provides that if an objection is made to the proposed compulsory acquisition of a derelict site and the objection is not withdrawn, the derelict site shall not be acquired compulsorily by the local authority without the consent of An Bord Pleanala.
DESCRIPTION OF DERELICT SITE PROPOSED TO BE ACQUIRED
A building and site formerly known as Tony Kearns Motors at Old Lucan Road, Palmerstown, Dublin 20
comprising of an area of c. 1357 metres sq. and delineated in red on Drawing No. 6136-1.
