SCHEME OF GRANTS FOR CONSERVATION WORKS ON
PROTECTED STRUCTURES
Applications are invited for consideration under the 2004 scheme of grants for conservation Works on Protected Structures to assist owners and occupiers to carry out conservation works on protected structures. The scheme is part of a package of measures introduced by the Department of Environment and Local Government to strengthen the protection of the architectural heritage.
Under the scheme, a wide range of conservation works will qualify for grants, generally amounting to 50% of the cost of works up to maximum of €13,000. Works consisting of routine maintenance or improvements will not qualify.
Applications will be prioritised in accordance with the scheme, and grants if approved, paid from an allocation by the Department of the Environment and Local Government to the Council for this purpose.
Grant applications for 2004 in the South Dublin County area must be received by the Council by 30th January, 2004.
