Mixed Use Integrated Development, Brookfield, Tallaght

 

Applications are invited from suitable qualified Contractors who wish to be considered for inclusion on a selected tender list for the construction of: a new Community Building (1300sq.m), Community garden (2,100sq.m), Créche (520sq.m), 16no. residential units, and associated works; at Brookfield, Tallaght.

The site is located to the south of the junction of Cheeverstown and Brookfield Roads.

The development will be built in one or more phases, starting with the Community Building, Garden and Housing.

 

Applicants will be primarily selected for the proven experience in good quality medium sized public buildings and should demonstrate their knowledge of exposed precast and in-situ concrete finishes and the co-ordination of specialist sub contractors which may include piling, mechanical, electrical, joinery, glazing, specialist render.

Applicants are required to provide information on a form supplied by South Dublin County Council.  The candidate’s financial and economic standing, technical capability and experience will be evaluated (and scored for pre-qualification to tender) on basis of that information.

The tender list will be limited to 6 contractors and it is intended that tenders will be sought in early November 2003.  The construction period is estimated at 15 months starting in early 2004.

It’s a condition for the inclusion on the panel, that the successful contractor produces a valid C2 or tax clearance certificate from the Revenue Commissioners, letters of compliance from the Construction Industry Federation Pension Fund/Sick Pay Scheme and Health Statement, as required by the Guidelines to the Safety, Health & Welfare at Work (Construction) Regulations, 1955.  In the case of a non-resident contractor, a statement of suitability on tax grounds from the Revenue Commissioners in Ireland will be required.

It should be noted that the Freedom of Information Act applies to all records held by South Dublin County Council.

 

 

Completed applications forms should be returned to Senior Executive Officer, Community and Parks Department, South Dublin County Council, County all, Town Centre, Tallaght, Dublin 24, not later than 12.00noon, on 24th October 2003.
