SWIMMING POOL AND SPORTS HALL
AT JOBSTOWN, TALLAGHT, DUBLIN -
SOUTH DUBLIN COUNTY COUNCIL
Notice to:
Application are invited from suitably qualified Contractors who wish to be considered
for inclusion on a list from which tenders will be invited for the following project: The
construction of a new swimming pool (2,790 sq.m.) and sports hall (4,700sq m). The
duration of the contract will be approximately 14 months.
Tenders will be invited for the following:
General building
Mechanical services
Electrical services
Structural Steelwork Contractors
Windows and roof glazing
Movable pool floor
Pool water treatment
Ceramic floor/wall/pool tiling
Patent lockers and toilets cubicles
Applicants are required to provide information under the headings listed below.
The candidates financial and economic standing, technical capability and experience
will be evaluated (and scored for pre-qualification to tender) on the basis of the
following information to be provided.
A. Details of the managerial and technical staff in the employment of the contractor
who will be responsible for the proposed project and in particular their relevant
experience in the construction of projects of a similar nature complexity and size.
B. A list of major building projects undertaken by the contractor during the last five
years particularly of a similar nature (including relevant client and consultants
names)
C. A schedule of current workload including description of the projects value of each
and the start and completion dates
D. A schedule of plant and technical equipment available to the contractor for
carrying out the work
E. A statement of the contractor’s health safety and welfare policy and evidence of its
capacity to implement all statutory obligations in regard to Health and Safety
Regulations 1995
F. Details of all notifiable accidents over the last five years
G. Names qualification and training of persons responsible for the implementation of
Health Safety and Welfare at Work (Construction) Regulations 1995 and 2001
H. Evidence of capacity to fulfill the function of Project Supervisor Construction Stage
I. Evidence of the contractors Quality Assurance System of ISO if any
J. Details of the contractors annual turnover over the past three years
K. Copy the contractors tax clearance certificate or in the case of a non-national a
statement from the relevant tax authority
L. Confirmation of the contractors current membership of the CIF pension and sick
pay scheme or other equivalent national scheme in the case of a non-national
M. Evidence that the contractor can provide a performance bond
N. Evidence that the contractor can provide adequate insurances
All evidence for the above must be supplied accompanied by the appropriate
documentary evidence.
Failure to provide same may result in the exclusion of the candidate contractor
concerned.
