Public Notice of

 

Proposed Traffic Calming Measures in Hillcrest/Dodsboro/Airlie Heights/Woodview/Woodview Heights, Lucan

 

Pursuant to the requirements of the above, notice is hereby given of the proposed provision by South Dublin County Council of the above scheme and a description of the proposed works follows:

 

The proposed works will consist of the following:

 

  1. The provision of twenty (20) traffic calming ramps
  2. The construction of one junction platform ramp
  3. The provision of Traffic/Pedestrian Light at the junction of Dodsboro Road/Millstream Road/Woodview Heights
  4. The construction of build outs at pedestrian crossing on Newcastle Road
  5. The construction of three roundabouts
  6. 3 Ton Limit (through traffic) on 3 access roads to Hillcrest Estate
  7. Road Widening at Dodsboro Cottages
  8. The painting of speed limit signs onto the road surface and
  9. Associated Road Signage

Plans and particulars of the proposed development will be available for inspection at :

 

(a)               South Dublin County Council Offices, County Hall, Tallaght, Dublin 24.

from 9.00am– 12.45pm and 2.00pm–5.00pm Monday to Thursday and from 9.00am-12.45pm and 2.00pm-4.30pm each Friday.

 

(b)               Lucan Library, Superquinn Shopping Centre, Newcastle Road, Lucan, Co. Dublin.

From  9.45am- 20.00pm Monday to Thursday and from 9.45am – 16.30pm Friday and Saturday.

 

(c)        South Dublin County Council Civic Offices, Clondalkin, Dublin 22.

From 9.00am– 12.45pm and 2.00pm–5.00pm Monday to Thursday and from 9.00am-12.45pm and 2.00pm-4.30pm each Friday.

 

From 3rd July 2003 to 8th August 2003.

 

Written submissions or observations with respect to the proposed development dealing with the proper planning and sustainable development of the area in which the development would be situated may be made in writing before 4.30pm on Friday 22nd August 2003 to The Senior Executive Officer,Roads and Traffic Department, South Dublin County Council, County Hall, Town Centre Tallaght, Dublin 24.
