Part 8 Planning and Development Regulations 2001

 

Public Notice of

Proposed construction of pedestrian footpaths, cycle paths, bridge construction and improvements and car parks at Liffey Valley Park – Waterstown Park and former Stewarts Hospital Lands at Palmerstown.

It is proposed to:

 

1. Extend the existing pedestrian path system in Waterstown         Park by 2km to create a 5km long system and by 1km in Stewarts Hospital to create a 2km long system.

 

2.   Construct a 3.3km long cycle path through Waterstown Park and a 1km cycle path through the former Stewarts Hospital lands.

 

3.   Construct car parks at the entrance to Waterstown Park at Waterstown Avenue and to the Stewarts Hospital lands at Mill Lane.

 

To construct a new bridge and to repair the existing stone bridge over the Mill Race in Waterstown Park.

Plans and particulars of the proposed development will be available for inspection at:

 

(a)

 

South Dublin County Council Offices, County Hall, Tallaght

from 9.00am- 12.45pm and 2.00pm-5.00pm Monday to Thursday and from 9.00am-12.45pm and 2.00-4.30pm each Friday.

 

(b)

 

Lucan Library, Superquinn Centre, Newcastle Road, from 9.45am-8pm Monday to Thursday

and 9.45am-4.30pm Friday and Saturday

 

(c)

 

Clondalkin Civic Centre, Ninth Lock Road, Clondalkin from Monday - Friday 10.00 am to 12.45 pm and from 2.00 pm to 4.00 pm.

Written submissions or observations with respect to the proposed development dealing with the proper planning and sustainable development of the area in which the development would be situated may be made in writing before 4.30pm on Wednesday 9th July 2003 to The Senior Parks Superintendent, Parks and Landscape Services Department, South Dublin County Council, County Hall, Tallaght, Dublin 24.
