Strategic Development Zone
ADAMSTOWN (SOUTHWEST OF LUCAN)
On 1st July 2001, the Government designated 223.5 hectares of land at Adamstown as a site for a Strategic Development Zone (SDZ) for mixed residential, commercial and community development.
South Dublin County Council is the relevant Planning Authority for the area.
At a special meeting of the County Council held on 7th May 2003 the Council decided by resolution to make, subject to variations and modifications, the Draft Planning Scheme for the Adamstown SDZ.
The draft Planning Scheme for the Adamstown SDZ comprises the Draft Planning Scheme document published in December 2002, together with 62 variations and modifications as agreed by the Council on 7th May 2003.

Any person who made submissions or observations regarding the Draft Scheme may appeal the decision of the Planning Authority to An Bord Pleanála, 64 Marlborough Street, Dublin 1, within 4 weeks of the Planning Authority’s decision.
