Proposed New Works

Public Consultation Procedure
Under Part V111 of the Local Government
(Planning & Development) Regulations 2001


Pursuant to the requirements of the above, notice is hereby given of the proposal to construct the following at

Brookfield Tallaght, Dublin 24

A mixed use integrated development located on a .72 hectare site bounded to the north west by Brookfield Road; to the north east by Cheeverstown Road; to the south west by Rossfield Avenue and the existing housing on Rossfield Avenue; and to the south east by Rossfield Drive. The development comprises of a community and youth facility of 1,200 square metres, configured as a two storey building, with ancillary two storey facilities for lifelong educational /administrative and community services of 240 square meters, and a childcare facility to cater for 50 children; a residential element of 16 no. two bedroomed units; 8 in a two storey block to the rear of existing housing on Rossfield Avenue, 1no. to the side of existing housing on Rossfield Drive, 1no. adjoining existing on Rossfield Avenue, and 6no. in a three storey block to the side facing onto Brookfield Road; an enhanced public green with a dedicated playspace for the proposed creche, and carparking and associated works.

The proposed development has been designed to be capable of construction in one or more phases. The site forms the initial element of an overall Brookfield Area masterplan of which the Community and Youth Facility is proceeding in the first phase.

Drawings of the proposed development can be viewed below or are on display at the headquarters of South Dublin County Council, Civic Offices, Town Centre, Tallaght, Dublin 24 during normal working hours until 22 May 2003
