Mayor Therese Ridge will officially open the annual exhibition of the Dublin Chapter of the Irish Woodturners Guild   in County Hall, Tallaght, on  Monday 28th November at 7pm . 

 

 

The Irish Woodturners Guild was formed in 1983, its aim being to further the craft by holding seminars, exhibitions, demonstrations and training for anyone interested in the art of woodturning.

 

The Dublin Chapter meets once a month in Terenure and charge a small fee of €3 for attending workshops. The Guild works year round to strengthen the craft of woodturning and has a strong ethos of sharing skills between more experienced members and beginners.

 

 

It supports of The Alzheimer’s Society, its adopted charity, by donating for sale, all pieces entered in an annual competition run by the Irish Woodturners Guild.The exhibition will run from the  Monday 28th November until Friday 2nd December.
