Mayor Therese Ridge will Launch the South West Clondalkin Annual Summer Festival, on 31st July at 3pm, at Bawnogue Church .

 

 

South West Clondalkin Annual Summer Festival will be launched by the Mayor of South Dublin at our opening event at 3pm on 31st July in the field beside Bawnogue Church . This year will see a host of activities for young and old alike! The festival which celebrates community spirit in South West Clondalkin will run for two weeks commencing 31st of July and has been organised by local residents of South West Clondalkin with support from the Dolcain Project.

 

 

This year is the second year of the festival.  The idea started when a group of local residents and community groups got together to organise a summer initiative to celebrate community spirit in south west Clondalkin.

 

 

Events this year include, a teddy bears picnic, table quizzes, kids bingo, drum workshops, a trip to Powerscourt for over 55’s, women’s  events including, yoga, jewellery making and salsa dancing, there are also events to celebrate the love of the horse locally including workshops on animal care and a trip to Fettercairn Horse Project.

 

 

In total the festival will run for two weeks and will have 31 events.
