Mayor Robert Dowds on behalf of South Dublin County Council  officially opens the New Playground and Woodland Adventure Trail at Willington, Tymon Park adjacent to Spawell on Wednesday June 29th at 12 noon.

This   facility consists of a Multicoloured Play Area for children aged 2 to 12 full of swings, slides, roundabouts and multi-play units. The area is divided into a green zone for toddlers, and a blue zone for the older kids.

This is situated right next to a Woodland Adventure Trail which is designed and constructed in complete harmony with the woods, with path winding through the trees leading to a snake’s nest and ultimately a Giant Space Net. This unique, and challenging part is suitable for ages 10 upwards.

The new playground which has been designed by South Dublin County Council, Parks & Landscape Services in conjunction with The Children’s Playground, and Street Play Leisure, is totally unique, and has recently been described as “The most innovative playground in Ireland to date”.
