Mayor Robert Dowds will present the Annual Community Awards, on 16th June 2005, in the Red Cow Moran Hotel.

 

 

 

The South Dublin County Council Annual Community Awards 2005 will be held on 16th June at a special dinner in the Red Cow Moran Hotel Naas Road. The Mayor of South Dublin County Councillor Robert Dowds will present the Awards to a number of community organisations and volunteers from the County. The total prize fund is €11,000. In addition the winners in each category will receive a special plaque. 

 

Awards will be made in the following categories,

 

Youth Groups,

Sports & Recreation Groups,

Arts,

Individual Volunteerism,

Best managed Community Centre and

Best Mo Bhaile Website.

 

As usual there was a large number of entries this year from various groups which shows the wealth of voluntary and community activity which is alive and well in the County.
