South Dublin County Council is organising the first ‘Green Week’ in the County from 11th April to 16th April 2005. The objective of ‘Green Week’ is to encourage the principle of ‘Reduce, Reuse, Recycle’ and increase awareness to manage their waste in a better way.
There will be a week long series of activities and talks throughout the County. All week there will be an exhibition of environmental stands displaying Composters, Wormeries, Green Cones etc. as well as products made from recycled materials on display in the concourse in South Dublin County Council Headquarters – County Hall, Tallaght.
There will be Composting Workshops, Art workshops, Story-telling, Eco Walks, Litter Clinics, and Gardening talks all taking place in the libraries, community centres and parks throughout the County.
The schedule of activities for Green Week will be posted on the Website, the details will also be advertised in the local press and Tallaght F.M.
