SOUTH DUBLIN COUNTY

ART AID EXHIBITION

South Dublin County Council

County Hall, Tallaght, D.24

21st March 2005 – 1st April 2005

(excluding Good Friday and Easter Monday)

The South Dublin County Art Aid exhibition is on display in County Hall, Tallaght, until Friday 1st April 2005. It is part of South Dublin County Council’s Fundraising/Awareness drive in support of the Tsunami Disaster in Asia and other natural and man made disasters in Africa.  Proceeds from the sale of art work will go to associated charities including Christian Aid Ireland, Concern, Irish Red Cross, and Trocaire.

The South Dublin County Art Aid exhibition is an excellent opportunity to support a good cause and invest in significant art work by some very talented established and emerging artists.  It features an excitingly diverse collection of art work contributed by participating artists, including a superb selection of paintings, prints, drawings and photographs in a wide range of styles and media.

The breath of the display encompasses many wonderfully evocative photographs, intriguing etchings and prints, and strong pencil on paper works.  Furthermore, there are some truly remarkable oil paintings, including restful landscapes and works in more dramatic expressionist and abstract styles.

Without doubt, there’s something special here to appeal to everyone’s taste and pocket.
