Health Lectures at Ballyroan Library

 

Ballyroan Library is pleased to introduce a series of health lectures, which will begin on 26th January and continue to the end of March. The first seven lectures in the series have been organised in association with Ms Maria Campbell, Health Promotion Officer, Adelaide and Meath, incorporating the National Children’s hospital (Tallaght Hospital).  We gratefully acknowledge the participation of the medical staff of the Rotunda, Mount Carmel and Cluain Mhuire Services in the lecture series

 

Wednesday 26th January - Depression and Mental Health - Dr Finian Kelly, Consultant Psychiatrist, AMNCH

 

Wednesday 2nd February -Breast Cancer-Ms Terry Hanan, Nurse Manger, Breast Care Unit, AMNCH 

 

Wednesday 9th February - Heart Disease- Professor Ian Graham, Consultant Cardiologist, AMNCH

 

Wednesday 16th February – Bowel Cancer, Dr Ramona McLoughlin, Gastroenterology Department, AMNCH 

 

Wednesday 23rd February -Age Related Illnesses- Professor Des O' Neill, Consultant Geriatrician, AMNCH

 

Wednesday 2nd March – Chronic Pain Management- Dr Camillus Power, General Consultant Anaestisist, AMNCH

 

Wednesday 9th March- Skin Problems-Dr Ann Marie Tobin, Dermatologist, AMNCH

 

Wednesday 16th Eating Disorders- Dr Mairead Doyle, Senior Clinical Psychologist, Cluain Mhuire Service

 

Wednesday 23rd March – Infertility and Human Assisted Reproduction, speaker from the H.A.R.I, Rotunda Hospital

 

Wednesday 30th Menopause/Women’s Health- Dr Gerry Rafferty, Obstetrics. and Gynaecology Consultant, Landscape Clinic and Mount Carmel  Hospital
