Deputy Mayor Eamonn Walsh will officially launch the Brush With Colour Art Exhibition in County Hall Tallaght on Tuesday 2nd November at 6.30pm.
Brush with colour is the name of an arts group based in Aylesbury Tallaght whose exhibition of members work will be opened officially on Tuesday 2nd November .The exhibition which features work in several media including acrylic,pastel and charcoal will run until Friday 19th November.
Since 2002 the group of beginner artists came together as a result of their participation in art courses held in the parish rooms at St. Martin de Porres Church,Aylesbury,Tallaght,working with teacher Betty Kelly.Betty studied with artists Brian Quinn and Ann Grain and also with Tallaght Community Arts Centre.As well as being an accomplished art teacher,Betty was nominated and won’Person of the Year 2002’
This artistic gathering ‘Brush with Colour Art Group’ regularly visits museums and exhibitions and makes excursions to places of interest such as Glendalough,Glenasmole and Enniskerry.Group members share their skills and have created linkages to other community groups in the locality such as mother and toddler group,Drug Awareness and Youth Groups.
This is the group’s first exhibition in County Hall so please come along and enjoy and support your own local community.
