Planning for Success in Sport
This seminar is directed at coaches, and the more experienced athletes who have significant input into the development of their own training programmes. Areas covered include goal setting, performance profiling to determine strengths and weaknesses, planning a competitive season, periodisation, monitoring the training response, and evaluation of the training plan.
Fuel for Sport
This seminar covers areas such as: The importance of Nutrition for sport, the role of food in optimising training, what to eat before a competition, fuel requirements for endurance events, and team sports. It also focuses on the body’s response to exercise and explains useful tips and recovery methods.
This is one of various seminars targeted at people who are involved with the coaching and training of sports teams.
The seminar is part of the Sports Education Program which is organised by the NCTC (National Coaching and Training Centre) sponsored by Lucozade which offers clubs and athletes an opportunity to access free education for their athletes, players and coaches in the area of sports science.
No previous experience or knowledge is required… just loads of energy and enthusiasm !!!!
