Talks were given by members of the Estate management and Environment sections of the Council as well as Conservation Ireland, Tallaght Gardai and St Marks social Project.
Planting of trees and shrubs began at the Estate in late April, with participation from residents in almost all sections of the estate.
In May, the Councils Painting Programme began in the estate and is still ongoing, with a variety of colours used on the houses for the first time.
A day trip for all the participants to the Urban Neighbourhood Initiative, Ballyfermot took place on May 18.
As a result of the project Kilmartin Estate has been enhanced and experienced dramatic improvements. Several residents who wish to keep up the good work have agreed with the Council and Estate Management Committee to form a new Environmental Committee for the estate, and the first meeting is planned for September.
