Mayor Márie Ardagh to launch East N’West Side Story
a short film by young people in South West Clondalkin
On Tuesday 25th May 2004.
The launch will be held in Bawnogue Youth and Community Centre at 8p.m. This film project was a collaboration between the SWIFT and Dolcain Project who came together in September 2003 to organise a film training programme for young people in the South West Clondalkin area . The training was delivered by Urban Multi- Media and took place from September 2003 to April of this year.
The film tells the story of a day in the lives of young people living in South West Clondalkin from their point of view. The project enabled participants to learn acting, directing, camera work, and film writing skills and was funded through a grant from the Clondalkin Partnership. 11 Young people completed the film course.
