South Dublin County Council continues to crackdown on illegal dumping and the illegal transportation of waste through our County.

Working in conjunction with the Garda Traffic Division as part of the ongoing process, checkpoints are being set up and vehicles caught will be impounded as the Council continues to enforce the Waste Management legislation to its fullest.

At a Stop & Search Checkpoint on The Nangor Road, Clondalkin, yesterday afternoon, 7th April 2004,  Environmental Services Staff supported by Gardai

have impounded another vehicle carrying Trade Waste without a permit.
