As part of the celebrations of South Dublin’s History and Heritage 2003 during the month of September a huge number of educational events, lectures, walking tours are taking place throughout the County.

The Mayor Councillor Maire Ardagh opened "Oidhreacht " at Ballyroan Library on 8^th September and presented the prizes for the 4th annual photographic  competition organised by South Dublin Libraries. –

• Presentation of 1^st Prize to Gary Somers (Firhouse) for his picture “Apparition”
• Presentation of under 18 1^st and 3^rd Prizes to Andrew Naylor (Butterfield Rathfarnham for his pictures “Larkspur” and “Deep rooted enchantment”
• Mayor Ardagh with prize winners
