In Whitechurch library on 11th at an extremely well supported “ The People of Ballyboden” ceremony, the Mayor unveiled a commemorative quilt which hangs in the entrance to this historic Carnegie building. 

 

Life histories of Ballyboden people since the 1800’s and photographic material from that period is on display, these include photographs from one of the oldest residents, Sheila White who recently celebrated her 97th birthday. Sheila also worked on the quilt.
