MAYOR COUNCILLOR JIM DALY OF SOUTH DUBLIN COUNTY COUNCIL PRESENTS
CERTS TO SPOIRT TEIC GRADUATES
Thursday, 19th June at 6.30 p.m. in the Headquarters of South Dublin County Council, County Hall, Tallaght the Graduation Ceremony and presentation of Certificates to the participants of this year's Spoirt Teic course will take place.
The success and development of the project can be attributed to the long-standing partnership between South Dublin County Council and FAS.
The impact of the project on individuals, families and communities is immeasurable. South Dublin County Council and FAS have produced an nnovative programme which facilitates second chance education for young adults allowing them to develop their skills and knowledge, gain employment and progress to further education.
The Spoirt Teic graduates will be receiving three Diploma level awards from the International Therapy Examination council (ITEC) in Gym instruction, Aerobic Exercise instruction and Anatomy & Physiology.
They will also receive IWS & NCVA Pool Lifeguard, Swim Ireland - Assistant Swimming Teacher and a number of sports coaching certificates from sports national governing bodies and NCTC.
These Skills are of enormous value to the participants in helping them to secure employment as Sports Coaches or Youth Leaders in the leisure industry and in a wider context to the community at large.
