Tonnage figures for the month of January 2003 (latest figures), which the council's Cleansing Crew has collected regarding litter, fly-tipping and junk collection.

*Note the tonnage figure supplied is only for the council's on-street litter bins. The council also pays a private company to provide and service approx. 240 on-street litter bins and therefore tonnage figures for the total number of on-street litter bins around the county would be approx. double the figure quoted below.
The county has over 500 on-street litter bins, provided by a combination of direct provision/maintenance from the council and also public/private partnership with a private company supplying and servicing the bins and the council paying for the service.
