South Dublin County Sports Partnership (SDCSP) has just announced the details for Ramble Aid 2014, their annual charity event series. This year the event donation will go to The Carers Association, Ireland's national voluntary organisation for and of family carers in the home. Family carers play a vital role in our local community providing high levels of care to a range of people including frail older people, people with severe disabilities, the terminally ill and children with special needs.
This year the Sports Partnership has altered the format of the event slightly. They are still offering a series of 3 events but the distances will rise from 5km to 7.5km and 10km over the months of April to June, allowing participants to increase their targets. Once more however entry costs have been kept to a minimum. People can enter 1, 2 or all 3 events and the maximum cost for all 3 is just €22.50. There is also a free, special edition Ramble Aid water bottle to all who enter the 3 events !!
Each location has easy parking opportunities, all events are timed and they are all contained in parkland with no roads to cross or traffic in view. Free refreshments will also be provided. We want to make Ramble Aid a special event for our charity partner and for everyone in our community and look forward to seeing you there. To register visit www.rambleaid.ie
