Happy Snappers – Parks Photographic Competition Winners Announced

The Mayor Dermot Looney presented the winners of the South Dublin Parks Photographic Competition with their prizes on 17th December 2013 in County Hall.

This is the first South Dublin Parks Photographic Competition and entrants were asked to capture their favourite views of parks and open spaces in South Dublin County Council. Many fantastic entries were received and the judges had a challenging job but eventually agreed on the winners.

The Mayor complimented all the photographers and said “ It is wonderful to see how people capture the beauty, diversity and colour of our parklands. There are so many activities and aspects to our parks. I hope this competition will continue to record these wonderful outdoor living spaces. I wish congratulate everyone who participated and I look forward to seeing the winning entries on display in County hall and the Civic Offices.”

The winners of the South Dublin Parks Photographic Competition are

1st        Lorraine O’Connor – Early spring morning, February

2nd       Jakub Tomic - Every single day is like a walk in the park

3rd        Dylan Burgess Grant – The woods

Congratulations to all the entrants and especially the three winners.

The winning photos will be on display in the foyer of County Hall, Tallaght and the Civic Offices, Clondalkin early in 2014.
