Tackle Litter before it tackles you

South Dublin County Council’s new “Tackle Litter”

video encourages everyone to tackle litter and make South Dublin County a cleaner place. The video seeks to motivate people to take action to reduce litter.

Mayor Cathal King stated “Litter destroys our place, it sends out all the wrong messages and it wastes valuable cleansing resources. This video asks us to think about tackling litter. We should all take responsibility for litter and change the way we think and act - How are we going to tackle litter?.”  

The Mayor praised the excellent work going on in communities in the County. “ I was delighted to see that Tallaght was ‘Clean to European Norms’ in the recent IBAL survey. I urge everyone to pass on the message that although we have made great improvement recently we need to continue to tackle litter and work together to make a difference”

Ways to tackle litter in South Dublin County include:

• Join the local Tidy Towns group
• Organise a community clean up, for more information on this and the supports available visit www.socialcredits.ie

• Use www.fixyourstreet.ie to report litter
