South Dublin County Council marks World Africa Day with an evening of celebrations in the County Library featuring exhibitions on the South Dublin County Ethiopian Partnership Project and the work of Self Help Development International. During the day African musicians and storytellers will entertain children from local schools. At 5pm the Afro-Irish Kideo Youth Group will perform in the County Library.
At the event Mayor Marie Corr will launch the Annual Report of the South Dublin County Ethiopian Partnership Project. She will also launch a new Ethiopian Workbook for Primary Schools which has been produced by staff from South Dublin Libraries. A copy of this workbook will be made available to all fifth and sixth class children across the County.
All are welcome to join the celebrations in the County Library on Tuesday May 26th at 5.30pm. Entertainment from 5pm
