Arts & Culture Week at the Big Picture April 20 -25th 2009
Artists films and multi-media projects from South Dublin County Councils

Short films, photographs and website projects from South Dublin Countys innovative public art programme will be on show for a week at the Big Picture, the new multi-media exhibition space in the heart of Tallaght.
Entry is free and all the films and photographs will be on view continuously just drop in to see a selection of these exciting projects. The artists worked closely with the people and landscapes of South Dublin County so look out for familiar faces and places!
Highlights include:
Black Ball Gown, a short film made by artists Cleary & Connolly in collaboration with local writer Eileen Casey.
Poetry posters from the Night and Day sequence of poems, by renowned author Dermot Bolger and invited South Dublin poets.
Public Arena by Bik van der Pol, a new film made with young people from Tallaght about the history of Tallaght Stadium.
A=AGHT, a website and youth exchange linking Tallaght and New Orleans and more, by Jackie Sumell
The Softest Music in the World, a short film from the Grpat sound collective.
Short documentary films on all the artists by film maker in residence Enda Mac Nally, including an introduction to The Marker Tree by Andreas Kopp, a new sculpture for South Dublin County.
