Public Consultation for Draft Speed Limit Bye-Laws 2009 for the administrative area of

South Dublin County Council

Notice is hereby given that South Dublin County Council, in exercise of the powers vested in it by Section 9 of the Road Traffic Act 2004 has prepared Draft Speed Limit Bye-Laws 2009 for the administrative area of South Dublin County Council following a countywide review of speed limits in accordance with the guidelines issued by the Department of Transport for the application of speed limits.

The Draft Speed Limit Bye-Laws 2009 together with an Explanatory Map are available for inspection at the following locations during normal office hours from Monday, 16th February 2009 to 23rd March 2009 inclusive:-

South Dublin County Council, County Hall, Town Centre, Tallaght, Dublin 24.

South Dublin County Council, PO Box 6949, Clondalkin Civic Centre, Clondalkin, Dublin 22.

County Library, County Hall, Town Centre, Tallaght, Dublin 24.

Ballyroan Library, Orchardstown Avenue, Rathfarnham, Dublin 16.

Lucan Library, Superquinn Shopping Centre, Newcastle, Lucan, Co. Dublin.

John Jennings Library, Stewarts Hospital, Palmerstown, Dublin 20.

Castletymon Library, Castletymon Shopping Centre, Tymon North Road, Tallaght, Dublin 24.

Clondalkin Library, Monastery Road, Clondalkin, Dublin 22.

Whitechurch Library, Taylors Lane, Rathfarnham, Dublin 16.

They are also available on the Councils website at www.sdcc.ie

Objections/representations to the Draft Speed Limit Bye-Laws 2009 should be submitted in writing at any time during the period 16th February, 2009 to 23rd March 2009 to the Senior Executive Officer, Roads Department, South Dublin County Council, County Hall, Town Centre, Tallaght, Dublin 24 or e-mail to seoroads@sdublincoco.ie.
