Community Alive in the New County Library, Tallaght,
1st October 4th October
22.09.08 - Community Alive takes place in the County Library, Tallaght from 1st-4th October. There are a series of events with helpful information and practical workshops on how to get involved in your Community.
The event is free and open to everyone in the Community. The workshops will provide information on how to set up a group, run a good committee, help groups to set up their own website and explore local facilities and amenities. The South Dublin County Volunteer Centre and Community Groups will have information stands. Please see schedule of events and also listed below.
The event will run from Wednesday evening the 1st October through to Saturday the 4th of October. It will be held in our newly refurbished County Library at the County Hall in Tallaght. Launching the event in the Digital suite at the County Library the Mayor Marie Corr said This is a great opportunity to get practical information on how to get involved in your Community. Getting involved in Community events gives you an opportunity to meet your neighbours and improve your area. I strongly recommend everyone to get involved you might surprise yourself, its good fun
