A HERITAGE PLAN FOR SOUTH DUBLIN COUNTY
South Dublin County Council, with the support of the Heritage Council, is commencing the process of preparing the Countys first Heritage Plan.
Aspects of heritage in South Dublin County include the natural environment, architecture, archaeology, and our cultural inheritance. The County Heritage Plan will be a five-year programme, listing broad objectives dealing with heritage matters on a county-wide basis. It is an opportunity to identify heritage issues and heritage needs at a local level, and to address them locally, within a regional and national framework.
Interested individuals and groups are invited to take part in the process by attending any of the 5 public consultation meetings listed below. Meetings commence at 8pm.
Monday 28th July 2008 Lucan Library, Superquinn Shopping Centre, Newcastle Road, Lucan,
Thursday 31st July 2008 Ballyroan Library, Orchardstown Avenue,Rathfarnham
Thursday 28th August 2008 County Library, County Hall, Tallaght
Tuesday 2nd September 2008 Rathcoole Community Centre, Main Street, Rathcoole
Thursday 4th September 2008 Clondalkin Civic Centre, 9th Lock Road, Clondalkin
Alternatively, submissions can be made in writing to:
Paddy McNamara, Administrative Officer, Planning Department, South Dublin County Council, County Hall, Tallaght, Dublin 24 or they can be e-mailed to pmcnamara@sdublincoco.ie by 4.00 pm. on 17th September, 2008.
Submissions cannot be accepted in any other format or to any other address other than as set out above.

- In the Planning Department, County Hall, Tallaght (9.00am to 5.00pm Monday to Thursday and 9.00am to 4.30pm Friday)
- In the Clondalkin Civic Centre (9.00am to 12.45pm and 2pm to 4.00pm Monday to Friday)
-and in all branches of South Dublin County Libraries during library opening hours.
