N81 Tallaght Bypass
Traffic management measures associated with replacement of pedestrian bridge linking Greenhills Road at Main Street, Tallaght to St. Dominics.
To facilitate final construction of this bridge there will be traffic restrictions on the Greenhills Road between Main Street and Tallaght Bypass and on the Tallaght Bypass (N81) until mid September 2007.
Traffic restrictions will be as follows:-
Phase 1 (20th August to 31st August)
During phase one of the bridge installation works traffic heading from M50 towards Tallaght will not be permitted to turn right into Greenhills Road. Traffic from the M50 and Templeogue should detour via Tallaght Road. Diversion signage will be displayed to advise motorists in advance.
Phase 2 (1st September to 8th September)
During phase two of the works the section of Greenhills Road south of Tallaght Main Street will operate one way from the Bypass (N81) towards Main Street. The no right turn into Greenhills Road will remain in place for out of town traffic. The left turn from Tallaght Bypass to Greenhills Road will remain open. Traffic on Greenhills Road and Main Street should detour via Main Street or Tallaght Road. Diversion signage will be displayed on site to advise motorists in advance.
During these works traffic lanes will be subject to layout modifications
Night time Traffic restrictions:-
In addition to the restrictions above further restrictions will be in place at night. Drivers are requested to heed any warning signs and directions.
