Title: Spring Art Exhibition.

Art exhibition launch, Lucan library, Monday March 26th 2007 Lucan Community College & Life Centre, Esker Hill Adult Art Classes exhibition launch.

 

 

The exhibition is the work of the Adult Evening Art class from Lucan Community College and of the Adult Art class from the Life centre, Esker Hill. (which is a daytime class). Both classes are taught by Marysia Harasimowicz.

 

Marysia was born in Liverpool and is of Polish parents. Marysia has been an art teacher for 25 years .She initially specialised in Decorative and Printed Textiles and Ceramics. Over the years, she has continued with her studies in the History of art, Fine art, Fashion and Clothing . Marysias art work has been mainly influenced by Colour, Pattern, Design, Nature, east European & ethnic culture/designs.She has taught in several educational establishments., including primary, secondary and special schools and Adult Education Centres. She currently also teaches after school childrens classes, which she greatly enjoys. Marysia works in a range of materials including Pastels, Acrylics, Watercolours, Mixed media., Fabric and Print. She has exhibited her work in both England and Ireland. Marysia is also a member of an active art group in Co. Meath.

 

The Art work for exhibition is by students attending the Drawing, Sketching and Watercolour Classes from 2 centres: i.e., Lucan Community College and the Life Centre ,Esker Hill. Both classes are for all levels: Beginners, Improvers, Intermediate and Advanced. Students work at their own pace in class and many students see the classes as a great way to relax and de-stress , while at the same time completing an artistic piece of work.

 

The art work on display includes: Graphite pencil, Coloured pencil, Charcoal, Pastel, Watercolours,Acrylics, Mixed Media.

The subject/ themes of the art work range from Landscape, seascape, townscape, still life, flowers etc.
