Report of South Dublin County Tourism Inaugural Festival Hallowfest

The official launch will take place in the Institute of Technology Tallaght (ITT) Dublin with Frank Magee CEO Dublin Tourism in the presence of Mayor Eamonn Maloney, South Dublin County Council on Monday 12th March at 7.00pm.

Last year, South Dublin County Tourism decided to launch the first Halloween festival called Hallowfest. This event celebrated the tradition of Halloween as an event for all the family in South Dublin County and the programme included attractions such as a Fireworks display, Halloween Games Area, Kids Fancy Dress Parade and a Family Halloween Treasure Hunt in Massey Wood, Dublin Mountains. The festival was a fantastic success attracting over 8,000 people.

As part of the festival, research was conducted to gather consumer feedback on the festival and this was done in conjunction with ITT Dublin. This research has assisted South Dublin County Tourism to strategically planning for the future and Hallowfest 2007.
