South Dublin County Council winners of the Irish e Government Award 2007
The winners were presented with their awards at ceremony in the Four Seasons Hotel last night by Minister Tom Kitt. John Bowman acted as Master of Ceremonies and the event was hosted by the Public Sector Times, and its Premier Sponsor was Reach Services.

South Dublin County Council, as well as winning the Local eGovernment Category Award, was chosen as overall winner for 2007 for its innovative CONNECT Project, which demonstrated the most outstanding commitment and innovation in its approach to utilising ICT to implement outstanding eGovernment services in Ireland. The Connect project uses technology to promote, support and educate across a wide range of community strands.

The Irish eGovernment Awards for 2007 included 10 award categories and one overall award winner. Each entry was marked according to specific evaluation criteria by an independent panel of judges.
