Proposed Park and Ride Development in the Townland of Lucan Demesne adjoining the Lucan/Leixlip Road, County Dublin

 

 

In accordance with Section 175 of the Planning and Development Act 2000, South Dublin County Council gives notice of its intentions to carry out the following development:

 

The provision of a Park and Ride development, in the townland of Lucan Demesne adjoining the

Lucan/Leixlip Road, consisting of two phases as follows: 
 
Phase 1:           Management building and parking facilities for 500 cars

 

 

Phase 2:           Additional parking facilities for 500 cars

South Dublin County Council proposes to seek the approval of An Bord Pleanála for  the proposed development.  An Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) has been prepared in respect of the proposed development. 

 

 

 

 

A copy of the Environmental Impact Statement may be inspected at: -

 

 

 

 

  • South Dublin County Council Offices, County Hall, Tallaght, Dublin 24 between the hours of 9:00am - 5.00pm Monday to Thursday and 9.00am-4.30pm Friday;

     

  • Civic Offices, Ninth
    Lock Road
    , Clondalkin, Dublin 22
    between the hours of 9.00am -12.45pm and 2.00pm - 4.00pm Monday to Friday;

     

  • Lucan Library, Superquinn Shopping Centre, Newcastle Road, Lucan, County Dublin between the hours of 9.45am-8pm Monday to Thursday and 9.45am-4.30pm Friday and Saturday;

     

  • Clondalkin Library, Monastery Road, Clondalkin, Dublin 22 between the hours of 9.45am - 8.00p.m. Monday to Thursday and 9.45am - 4.30pm Friday and Saturday.

     

 

 

From Thursday, 1st February, 2007 until Friday, 23rd March, 2007.

 

 

 

 

A copy of the Environmental Impact Statement may be purchased for a fee of €50.00 from County Hall, Tallaght and Civic Offices, Clondalkin only.  A copy of the non-technical summary may also be purchased for a fee of €2.00 at the two above locations.  Alternatively, the Environmental Impact Statement is available on CD-Rom and may be purchased from the two above locations for a fee of €15.00.

 

 

 

 

A copy of the Environmental Impact Statement is also available on the South Dublin County Council Website www.sdublincoco.ie

 

 

 

 

Submissions or observations with respect to the proposed development with regards to (i) the implications of the proposed development for proper planning and sustainable development in the area concerned, and (ii) the likely effects on the environment of the proposed development, if carried out,  can be made to A n Bord Pleanála, 64 Marlborough Street, Dublin 1, up to close of business on Friday 23rd March, 2007.
